Hello! I’m Eva, owner and lead designer of eva bee interiors.

Interior design has been in my blood for as long as I can remember: I spent hours pouring over the Sears catalog as a kid, yearning for a round bedside table covered with a little flowered table cloth that matched my bedspread. I dreamed of having matching silverware (I realize now my parents were right, mismatched is far more fun!) and endlessly arranged and rearranged my childhood rooms and every place I’ve lived in since. I fell in love with thrifting as a teen, which gave way to Craigslist scrounging. Somewhere in there I graduated with a BA/BFA in studio art and printmaking. Much of my art contained imagery of interior spaces. After a (20 year!) sojourn of yoga teaching, I began to crave making art again, designing people’s spaces rather than their bodies. So much is similar!

I’ve been an interior designer for 9 years. I’ve worked on everything from studio apartments and grand Victorian homes to office suites and psychotherapy practices. In all these spaces my goals are the same: to create an environment where beauty and comfort are indistinguishable; a space with vistas, valleys and lovely pathways that make my clients, their families, friends, guests, patients, animals and plants, feel good and happy.

Nice to meet you!

Through exploration with composition, color and texture, I strive for balance, for beauty, for a clear sense of space and a good dose of fun.
